2009 Chief, Indian Motorcycle
FOR COMPLETE REVIEW GOTO: tinyurl.com The 2009 Chief from the latest incarnation of Indian Motorcycle, in Kings Mountain, NC, simultaneously pays tribute to the brands 108-year legacy while addressing modern riders demands for power and performance. Its valanced fenders and two-tone paint are classic, and its fuel-injected, 105 cubic inch motor and 3-way catalyzed exhaust are modern, but at 000-500 the four currently available models are also quite expensive.

that was NICE:)
I love Indian but 36K in today’s market. Good luck with that. I think they would be better to price bikes in the 16K to 24K area. Maybee I’m missing somthing here??? At the end of the day, maybee their new marketing objective will work, but time will tell. Other than than, nice bike…I love the idea of another iconic motorcyle brand in the market.
can u say teleprompter?
I hate to say this but 36k, what are you nuts… This is going to be a short lived company if the don’t do something..
I agree and I hate that because I’m a Indian chief lover but you are so right !
i wont even LOOK till i see a bike around 15K at 35 you wont get em in the door regardless of curb appeal, But hey you know you can keep the price high and they can make another video where they talk shit about the last owners that went bankrupt….
$36,000.00 ?!?!?! It seems they’re folowing Harley Davidsons Greed Leed!!!! I’m sorry but $36,000.00 in this economy,Fuck that!!!! here today ,gone later today!!!
Sorry Indian, the “retro” thing is on the way out! Buyers today are looking for more technology. Stop looking into the Indian archieves, and take a look at Victory! Now that company has the future of motorcycles in its sights!!
What are you talking about? Harley start at $6,000 with the Sportsters and the ones that would be the size of this India are half the price of it! Do your homework!
$36,000?! Oh my. Margins are important in business but this is a mass produced bike. Considering the number of failures of this brand you’d think they’d produce something that isn’t a boutique item. I guess that explains why they are advertising they’ll pay the first 10 months on a 2009 bike. They make HD’s look reasonably priced.
So they’re going to try the boutique approach with ‘hand built’, ‘factory pickup’, ‘VIP tours’. That’s one way to sell product but it’s very sensitive to market changes. Ask any of the yacht manufactures. Even Porsche needs VW. I guess we’ll never see a Scout model priced like the Sportster…
Please, Please, take care out there fellas, one of my neighbor died recently of a Motorcycle accident. Please take good care out there and stay safe.
i personally believe that the old indians are the best looking cruisers ever! the low fenders, and the overall styling is just beautiful!
Undian.
No ties to the original company (1901 – 1953) what so ever.
they are not mass produced, they are all handmade and only 5 are made a week, i have ridden one and boy, is it worth it.
Hand made or assembled by hand? I doubt that all of the parts are made in the USA, in house by Indian. You’d need major dollars in manufacturing resources to do that. It looks very well built but my money’s on parts made in China just like everybody else.
Nádherná.
yo quiero una motooo asiiiiiiii
Ive seen one of these up close at Thunder Beach in PC Beach at an Indian display or show. But I didnt see not even 1 on the streets the whole time, probably because you could buy 2 or 3 Harleys for the same price. Nice bike but not worth $36K.
yo tambiennnnnnnn !!! jajaja
As soon as i win the lotto im buying two
And exactly how is this a bad thing?
36k? wtf???? I can see why they went bankrupt in 03.
